Welcome to Ama La Vita! It all started back in 2008 when Blades to Ballet was closing. Scott and Ginger Knapp decided to purchase Blades to Ballet because their younger daughter, Kennis was heavily involved in figure skating and dance and Ginger was looking for something part-time to do. With her degree in Fashion Merchandising it was the perfect opportunity for her! Ginger quickly found out that it was definitely not part-time. 

In August of 2020 Blades to Ballet was rebranded into Ama La Vita! During the Covid-19 shutdown the only thing that was selling was our small selection of women’s fashion. We decided in May of 2020 in order to keep our doors open for the dance and figure skating community we needed to rebrand and pivot. We started to remodel the store, and change the name and officially announced on August 19th, 2020!

Ama La Vita opened its second location August of 2024, in downtown Rochester. Downtown Rochester has always held a special place in my heart. 

We now carry a full range of women’s fashion, accessories, and home decor. Along with dance. We now have have 2 brick and mortar locations and an online store. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to keep up!
